Guilherme Morais
Brazilian dancer, choreographer, and educator, he has been creating and performing work across Brazil and Europe.

In 2024, he premiered the children’s dance piece "Kosmokörper" with choreographer Elisabete Finger as part of the “Explore Dance – Potsdam” program; the work is currently nominated for the 2025 Faust Theaterpreis. That same year, he celebrated the 10th anniversary of his acclaimed piece Lovers Against Lions, an homage to the LGBTQIAPN+ community in public spaces, with a workshop and performance at the Prague Dancetopia Symposium.
In 2023, he received the “Honor of Merit” award from the city of Belo Horizonte for his artistic contributions. Also in Berlin, his children’s piece "FLIP FLOP" was awarded the Ikarus Prize and continues touring Germany and France.

His directorial and choreographic work includes "Morte vida sonho" and "Rinoceronte não dá em árvore", both premiered in Belo Horizonte in 2023 with support from the Brazilian federal government. As a performer, he appeared in "Blazing World" by Sergiu Matis and "This is still not Normal" by Juan Dominguez and Arantxa Martinez, both presented at "Radialsystem" in Berlin.

In 2022, he was a guest artist at Flutgraben Performances (Berlin) and, with support from Iberescena, at Casa Vella (Galicia, Spain). In 2021, his ten-hour durational piece "Antes de tudo justaposto que está porvir" premiered inside a glass box in downtown Belo Horizonte, supported by the Centro de Referência da Dança of Belo Horizonte. That same year, with support from the "Goethe-Institut", he toured the residency project "Dança Macabra" across Florianópolis, Belo Horizonte, and Fortaleza.

He was a guest choreographer to "Move the Forum" (2020–21) at the "Humboldt Forum", with the performance "This is not a game" with 30 children from primary school. He was also assistant director to Ricardo de Paula on "Ubiquitous Assimilation" at "Gropius Bau" and on "Unrestricted Contact" at "Ballhaus Naunynstraße" (both by Grupo Oito).

Since 2020, he has been part of the audiovisual collective Syntax Schwarz and has engaged in multiple artistic residencies, including Libken (Take Care funding) and flausen+.
